          Chiang Mai : In 2004 the number of enterprises legalized as juristic persons and registered under the commercial code was 12,014 comprising 4,928 limited companies, 6,946 limited partnerships and 140 ordinary partnerships.

          2. Chiang Mai : Border trade; Import and Export.
          2.1 Border trade situation The value of trade at Chiang Dao customs house in 2004 was 7.124 million Baht (5.634 million Baht in exports and 1.490 million Baht in imports). Primary exports included gasoline, tractors and motorcycles.
          2.2 The trade situation through the customs house at Chiang Mai International Airport The value of trade via the customs house at Chiang Mai International Airport in 2004 was 7,035 million Baht. Exports accounted for 5,709 million Baht led by processed agricultural products, wood products and jewelry. Imports accounted for 1,325 million Baht and comprised mainly electronic parts and accessories, spare parts and machinery.
